Some fanart of the comic "Kill Six Billion Demons"
I just picked the character because I liked his looks. I don't have one particular favorite there.

Cyberpunk Character Concept 2017
Challanging myself with some cyberpunk character art.
This year will be interesting in cyberpunk, since Bladerunner 2 and the Ghost in the Shell movie have been announced for 2017. Maybe we hear something new from Cyberpunk 2077 too?
And just mentioning the tip of the iceberg.
This painting took me 2 h and I'm not considering it done, but it is finished enough to convey everything I'd say (:

Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 - Breeding
I felt the urge to paint this iconic and recurring scene of the starry night shrine.
I did this rather quick and dirty, because I got so much other things to do at the moment..
Here is the original:
And my painted version of it (click for bigger version):

Newborn Deity
I really don't know what to call this. Started out as a experimental lanscape speedpainting and then turned into.. something different over time.

The Auto Immune Protocol (AIP)
In honor of the Auto Immune Protocol and to Dr. Wahls as well, I've created this artwork.
I am on the AIP for a month now because of my Colitis Ulcerosa, and I don't see it as diet, I see it as a life changing aspect I will keep for the rest of my life.
It restructered my nutritional horizon and it widened my little rainbow I ate before.
I've never eaten as diverse and healthy as I do now, thus I am really greatful for stumbling over the AIP. Besides that I feel better every week even though I am gradually reducing my prednisone.
Can't wait to get rid of it completely..
If you are interested in what the Auto Immune Protocol is exactly just google it, there are many resources out there. To keep it short: It is a special form of the paleolithic diet.
After many years of changes and weeks of research I feel like I've found the right path.
It feels great.

Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 - WindMerge
The game of my childhood: Dragon Warrior Monsters 2.
Fuck Pokemon, fuck Digimon, this is it! You can breed monsters here, baby!
This is not my favorite monster of the game, but one of those that always appealed to me a lot. Since there are only little sprites of most monsters, but I got so clear visions of them in my head I tried to redraw one of them and here you go. The drawing is done with a ballpoint pen. The rest is photoshop magic. At the bottom I've add the original game portrait of WindMerge.

Squid Dive
This one was some quite interesting process. After restructuring the
initial sketch and combining several studies in one piece (style of
skin-shading, structures, squid), I've decided to use a glitch tool many
times to distort the state into something I had in head. I wanted to
change the composition/narration into a slightly different direction.
Then I took all the many random outcomes of the glitch I liked and recomposed them to create focus, flow and the feel of the character breaking through a surface in some weird distorted way.
In a cyberpunk kind of virtual way.

Spirit Card Sketches
I got a new spirit card commission, which was a rather abstract matter. I decided to pack it into the form of a kind-of-a-tree-being, growing black roots into the ground and holding an artifact floating above itself resembling a crown. First I did some pencil sketches, then picked my two favorites and did a fast digital overpainting to check out possible values and the overall feeling.
You can find the finished card here.

Xul'noc King Remake
My artorder was to remake this guy
in a more serious way. The first thing I did was looking at birds I
liked and think about a way to rebuild this anatomy-less character..
For the face I kept the duck part and got myself inspired by the beautiful Bataleur.
The rest was just putting muscles and bones on the original, adding some feathers on the arms to make it more interesting.
Then I did a sketch of the new concept, got it approved and worked on the thumbnails. I chose my favorite, did a digital overpaint and got it approved as well.
Lastly I got the sketch approved as well, worked on my palette, limited it for the scene and finished it up.

I must admit, that my first reaction to the artorder was more like a wtf-moment. I didn't expect to do something like that haha. But in the end I think I did a good job at remaking him.
Post Scriptum: My folder with the WIP-PSD's is nearly 13 Gigabytes big! I rarely work on such a huge resolution. Add the layers and you got monster-files haha
